“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift.”
With this artwork I want to show how important it is to live in the moment. While creating it, I thought about how often we are busy in our minds with yesterday or with tomorrow. Yesterday is gone, it holds lessons, but it is over. The future is unknown, and we cannot control it. Yet we often let the past or worries about what is coming influence how we feel today.
Sometimes my days pass by so quickly: full of tasks, rushing around, little irritations. And then suddenly something stops me, a memory, a look, a scent, or a piece of music. Music often touches me, and for each artwork I choose a song that feels completely in tune with the image, as if they belong together.
This portrait is layered with the texture of a newspaper. I chose that on purpose: yesterday’s news is already history. The newspaper is a symbol of time passing by, and how precious the present moment really is.
This portrait is my reminder of that feeling. It is layered, just like life itself, with patterns, stories and flowers that grow like thoughts. It is a quiet invitation to look at what is here now and enjoy it.

Hanging Instructions
Aluminium Hanging Frame
The stylish and solid aluminium hanging frame is pre-mounted on the back of the print. This frame is included with sizes 80×120 cm and 100×150 cm.
- Easy to mount on the wall thanks to the built‑in edge of the frame
- The pre‑mounted frame is not visible from the front, making the panel appear to “float” (with a 2 cm distance) from the wall
- The print truly comes to life, creating a striking 3D effect
Hidden Hanging System
The hidden hanging system ensures your print hangs perfectly flush against the wall. This system is supplied with sizes 40×60 cm and 60×90 cm.
